Invaluable Resources

There is so many amazing resources and organisations available online for veterans & ex-veterans. From grants, fundraising, veteran specific clinics, mobile apps and much more. So we thought we would make a handy page to help those who need it, you can find this by clicking the button below.

Veteran ID Cards

An HM Armed Forces Veteran Card is a way to prove that you served in the UK armed forces. The card can make it quicker and easier to apply for support as a veteran.

You can currently only apply for a Veteran Card if you have a UK address. Veterans who do not have a UK address will be able to apply later this year.

It’s free to apply.

Financial Help for Veterans

At We R Blighty, we understand the financial struggles veterans may face upon leaving the armed forces. Adjusting to civilian life can be challenging, and often, financial difficulties can add to the stress. Our mission is to ensure no veteran has to face such struggles alone.

Our ‘Financial Help for Veterans’ initiative is designed to provide immediate assistance and long-term solutions to veterans facing financial hardship.

Homeless Support for Veterans

At We R Blighty, we firmly believe that every veteran deserves a safe refuge – a dignified place to call home. Transitioning from military to civilian life can sometimes result in homelessness, a circumstance no veteran should have to grapple with.

Our ‘Homeless Support for Veterans’ initiative aims to provide immediate relief and long-term solutions for homeless veterans, ensuring they have the resources to reclaim their independence.

PTSD & Menth Health Support for Veterans & Ex Veterans

Serving in the armed forces brings with it unique challenges and experiences that can lead to lasting emotional and psychological impact. At We R Blighty, we recognise the enduring strength of our veterans while acknowledging that dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other mental health issues requires professional support and care.

Our ‘PTSD and Mental Health Support for Veterans’ initiative is focused on offering empathic assistance, referrals, and signposting for specialised therapy, and tools needed to cope, recover, and thrive past PTSD and other service-related mental health struggles

Forces Connect App

At We R Blighty, we understand the importance of readily available assistance and resources for our Armed Forces community. In line with this, we would like to introduce a revolutionary tool – the Forces Connect App. This app integrates a host of services and assistance geared towards our armed forces personnel, veterans, and their families, right at your fingertips.

The Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service

Addressing the unique mental health and wellbeing needs of our Armed Forces personnel, veterans, and their families is a crucial aspect of supporting the transition to civilian life. The Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service is an invaluable resource tailored to this very purpose.

Operated by the NHS, the service is also known as ‘Op COURAGE’ and covers London and South East regions, offering free, specialised mental health support treatments to ex-serving members of the UK Armed Forces, service personnel transitioning to civilian life, and reservists.

Homeless Veterans Referral Program

Helping veterans at risk or experiencing homelessness find a safe and secure place to call home is one of our top priorities. We are proud to present Op FORTITUDE – a dedicated homeless veterans referral program aimed at providing assistance and shelter to our Armed Forces community in need.

Created by Riverside Care and Support, and funded by The Armed Forces Covenant Fund, Op FORTITUDE is designed to deliver a centralised referral pathway into veteran supported housing.
