We R Blighty invited to give speech to Thanet District Council about services offered

In a significant step forward in the mission to combat homelessness among veterans, We R Blighty recently participated in a collaborative meeting with the Thanet District Council and the Thanet Rise team. The meeting, a clear statement of the collective commitment these organisations have for addressing this critical issue, focused on formulating concrete solutions and strategies.

The head of our operations, Ben Mills, was honoured with the opportunity to deliver a speech to more than 20 dedicated individuals from the Thanet Council Housing Team. Leveraging his extensive experience in supporting the veteran community through We R Blighty, Ben was able to provide unique insight into the dimensions of this complex issue.

Ben emphasised the specific challenges faced by veterans, reminding the participants of the urgent need for tailored strategies to adequately assist them. He pitched for a concerted effort, where every stakeholder plays their part in creating a robust support ecosystem for our esteemed veterans struggling with homelessness.
